Murder rate: Chicago versus Iraq

Our frequent contributor Bruce Thompson has posted an interesting comparison of the murder rate in Chicago versus that in Iraq on his blog site Machias Privateer. While Iraw would need a population of 32 million, instead of its actual population of 25 million, in order for the two places to have the same rate, Bruce points out that Iraq's rate is falling faster.

Bruce (and we) await reaction from Chicago Congressman, Clinton advisor, and House Democratic Campaign Chairman Rahm Emmaunuel.
