RFK, Jr calls it treason

It is unlikely that the Kennedys will ever regain a prominent place in American politics after Ted retires. And this overheated nincompoopery by RFK,Jr. makes me think that day cannot come too soon:

Get rid of all these rotten politicians that we have in Washington, who are nothing more than corporate toadies," said Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the environmentalist author, president of Waterkeeper Alliance and Robert F. Kennedy's son, who grew hoarse from shouting. "This is treason. And we need to start treating them as traitors."

Naturally, his environmental work did not preclude him from opposing the Cape May wind project which would have interrupted the view from Hyannisport or collecting royalties from two family owned oil drilling companies.

Other examples of his scientific acumen include his "June 2005 article in Rolling Stone and on Salon.com alleging connections between the mercury-containing preservative thimerosal in inoculations and childhood autism. And his po.itical genius was on display earlier:

[quote]In an article in the June 5, 2006, issue of Rolling Stone magazine entitled Was the 2004 Election Stolen?, Kennedy comes to the conclusion that the Republican party stole the 2004 American presidential election. Farhad Manjoo, Technology and Business staff writer for Salon.com, has criticized Kennedy's interpretation and methodology[20]. Kennedy responded to Manjoo's criticisms in detail[21]. Id.
