Rush for peace now? (a poem)

Now that Algore's scuttled back under the rug

Followed by Live Earth shame,

Will the Nobel Prize this time evade his grasp?

Are those worthies erasing his name?

It's the moment to follow Mark Levin

In promoting Rush for Peace.

With enough of us making noise and stomping

His chances will only increase.

Perhaps we should lose this aged prize

And replace with something newer.

The old one will ever and always reward

A tyrant or dewy good-doer.

What shall we call it, this modern medal,

This cup of esteem and fame?

Whatever list is drawn up to launch it,

Add, early and often, my name.
