Spot the missing fact
What's missing in this New York Times article covering a $6.5 million jury award to two Detroit police officers who were
"discharged in retaliation for investigating misconduct by the mayor [of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick] and his security detail."
As most readers must have correctly guessed, it is the mayor's political affiliation. He is a Democrat, as if I even have to specify that point. The Times continues its policy of refusing to identify the political affiliation of corrupt politicians who are Democrats. In fact, they usually end up defending them, as they have in repeated articles about the imprisoned Democrat former Governor of Alabama, Don Spiegelman.
Don't the editors of the Times realize how ridiculous they look with such shenanigans?
