Form, not substance, in news

Ps-s-st!  Need a job? Here is a good one.   In a frank job posting for an environmental reporter CBS totally revealed its lack of objectivity, where form definitely trumps substance.

Requirments:
You are wicked smart, funny, irreverent and hip, oozing enthusiasm and creative energy. This position requires strong people, reporting, story telling and writing skills.
Ability to report objectively not necessary because
A deep interest in the environment and sustainability issues will serve you well.

As for actual broad knowledge of the issues
Knowledge of the enviro beat is a big plus, but not a requirement.
And following the lead of such do as I say, not as I do environmentalists Laurie David, Al Gore and others with their huge homes, private planes and big cars CBS promises:
Be prepared to see America. Heavy domestic travel.
Certainly CBS will pay for something known as carbon offsets to minimize something known as carbon footprints.

And some wonder why a significant segment of the population relies on Leno, Letterman, The Daily Show and websites for news instead of unreliable MSM dead tree and network news media.
