Barack does Billionaire's Row
Barack and Michelle Obama like to claim they raise their money from small donors. So his recent visit with plutocrats in the Bay Area to raise millions of dollars in one day was not something about which publicity was wanted. The sight of Barack serially attending gatherings of the ultra-rich, figuratively filling his money bags, doesn't do much to advance the narrative. So his friends in the media yawned. If you weren't watching the local TV news on certain SF station s, you probably missed the whole thing.
Intrepid internet Bay Area reporter/photographer Zombie Time was not deterred, and followed Barack around as he visited the Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco known locally as "billionaire's row" containing what is reckoned to be the richest block of houses in the world.
Do yourself a favor and check out the excellent photos, and check out the analysis, too.
No doubt there are many of those 5, 10, 50 and 100 dollar donations. But if you're going to buy an election, it's a good idea to deal wholesale as well as retail.
