Poll shows voters think Obama's 'dollar bill' comment racist

Barack Obama is constantly crying wolf, in this case it is the candidate putting words in John McCain's mouth by stating that John McCain is a racist who

would make an issue of the fact that he (Obama, ed) doesn't look like presidents who have been on the dollar bills.
After all, it is quite obvious that Barack Obama does not look like those presidents on the dollar bills--George Washington has longish white hair and is wearing a bandage around his neck held together with a frilly handkerchief.  The impeccably turned out Barack Obama, who is much younger, would never wear such an outfit in public.

So  Barack Obama, the post racial candidate of change, changed his mind once again on who is a racist.  The great communicator once again quickly changed the meaning of his  previous communication.   Describing himself, perhaps as a wanted criminal  from Hollywood, Obama now explained
I don’t come out of central casting, when it comes to presidential races. For a whole range of reasons. I’m young, I’m new to the national scene, my name is Barack Obama, I am African American, I was born in Hawaii, I spent time in Indonesia. I do not have the typical biography of a presidential candidate. What that means is that I’m sort of unfamiliar and people are still trying to get a fix on who I am, where I come from, what my values are and so forth in a way that might not be true if I seemed more familiar."
Senator Obama, after months of high profile campaigning and making the cover of so many magazines, including even US, John McCain and most of the public are not "sort of unfamiliar" with you; they definitely have a "fix on who" you are.  Familiar with your comments, over half of the voters' fix on you is  that you, sir, make racist comments.

According
to the polling company Rasmussen Reports
Obama’s comment that his Republican opponent will try to scare people because Obama does not look like all the other presidents on dollar bills was seen as racist by 53%.  Thirty-eight percent (38%) disagree.
Furthermore

53% of white voters saw it as racist, as did 44% of African-Americans and 61% of all other voters.
And by a
50% to 38% margin, unaffiliateds viewed Obama’s comment as racist.
The message is clear--the post racial candidate of change is viewed as a racist. And just how is the candidate of change going to change that?
