The incredible shrinking New York Times shrinks again

After shrinking the width of its print edition by 1.5 inches a year ago, the New York Times has announced it will be printing fewer sections. Editor & Publisher writes:

The New York Times announced Friday that it will scale back to four separate sections most days in its metro-area editions to cut production costs. The number of pages devoted to coverage will remain unchanged, according to the Times.

Sounds like a money-saving move, which has to be the number one priority for the faltering company.

Will the last one out of the building please turn off the lights?
