And the winner of the 'Quote of the Year' is...
The annual Media Research Center quotes of the year is out and there are some fond memories in their selections as well as some real doozies that I had never heard.
There are many different categories but the one everyone awaits with great anticipation is their selection for "Quote of the Year."
Who won? Chris Matthews will find this clip being played over and over again during his run for the Pennsylvania senate seat:
Who can forget Matthews embarasing tribute to how Obama makes him feel when he speaks?
Co-anchor Chris Matthews: “I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My — I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.
”Co-anchor Keith Olbermann: “Steady.”
Matthews: “No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment.” 3

Some of the other category winners are jaw droppers. The Obamagasm Award winner:
