Willie Brown predicts Caroline will hang in and get the senate seat
The former San Francisco Mayor longtime political boss of the California legislature believes that Caroline is made of tough material:
Kennedy will weather the storm, just like Barack Obama did throughout his media-blessed campaign.The U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton is Kennedy's unless she decides to withdraw. No way the Democratic governor is going to turn down what amounts to a presidential request.
I find it amazing that the appointment of a lightweight to the United States Senate is the biggest political story of the season. I hope Willie is right and I am wrong. She perfectly encapsulates the elitism of the Democrats, and sows the seeds of division amoing New York Democrats.
