Just how much should it cost to anoint a Messiah?

Well, if he happens to be a liberal, it really doesn't matter, does it?

AP's Matt Apuzzo points out the obvious; that "The price tag for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration gala is expected to break records," with some estimates at $150 million."

Then there are the liberals from 4 years ago "who called on President George W. Bush to be frugal four years ago" but are "issuing no such demands now that an inaugural weekend of rock concerts and star-studded parties has begun."

I think we're getting off easy at $150 mill. Just think what it could have been if times were good.

But then, Obama probably wouldn't have been elected if the economy wasn't in the pits so there's that to think about. And as far as the hypocrisy of it all, I wouldn't worry. The media will have forgotten about by tomorrow.
