Compassionate parole for all?

Susan Atkins (of Manson family fame) is up for parole on Wednesday.  Parole is urged on the grounds of compassionate release. We're told she has cancer, and only has a few months to live.  (We were told that in 2006 too, but I guess they really mean it this time).

Perhaps we should send her to Scotland?  They're experts on compassionate release.  Ms. Atkins has served a lot more than 11 days per victim (roughly the amount of time served by the Lockerbie bomber, al-Megrahi) so I guess it should work out.

Would Libya trade her for some oil leases?
