A Thanksgiving poem for our men and women at arms

All these years later, you're still there.
Sacrificing your comfort and safety where
Most of us would not dare to tread,
Still sending home your honored dead,

While we, reassured, revel at the feast
With loved ones. Crisp napkins creased
On decorative tables, groaning boards
Of turkeys and berries and bright colored gourds.

As we at home enjoy this abundant good living,
Our hearts are far away with you this Thanksgiving.

THANKS AND GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU
