Taxpayers can't afford to be agnostic like Obama
Obama's recent agnostic revelation stands in stark contrast to his earlier promise of middle class tax relief. While the President may be agnostic toward further tax increases, we taxpayers most certainly are not.
The Tax Foundation reported that Americans already pay more in taxes than they spend on food, clothing, and housing. Higher taxes will further reduce what money remains for food, clothing, and housing. Somebody, please inform our leader that this will hurt economic recovery.
When taxpayers have less to spend, they are forced to lay off employees in order to survive a deteriorating economy. Yes, all individuals do have employees, indirectly. Lower consumer spending reduces the need for restaurant help, building contractors, hair stylists, babysitters, and orthodontists.
President Obama should be encouraged to show real leadership toward solving the problems facing American taxpayers. This is not a time to be agnostic.
