Recycling the hockey stick graph
Al Gore and the UN have turned the hockey stick graph into an icon of impending doom and destruction; government school's Pavlovian training reinforced the association: see the chart and think, "We're going to die unless these lines are turned down -- cut the emissions!"
Re-label the vertical axis government spending and debt, keep the two slowly rising lines that suddenly rocket upward. Now, when exposed to the chart, Obama's supporters can only think, "We're going to die unless these lines are turned down --cut the spending and debt!"
Here's hoping for change we can believe in. Thanks for the help, Al.
