DNC Chair Wasserman-Schultz a gift that keeps on giving (updated)

She may be the GOP's secret weapon in 2012 - despite the fact that she's a Democrat.

And the Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee to boot.

Deborah Wasserman-Schultz is a bomb thrower who suffers from a bad case of hoof in mouth disease, as well as enjoying the dubious distinction of having some of her most vitriolic attacks blow up in her face.

To wit: She attacked GOP presidential candidates for favoring foreign car companies but owns a Japanese car herself. She accused the GOP of advancing Medicare reform that would kill seniors.

Now she says that Republicans want to make a "crime" of illegal immigration. Did someone mention to her that it already is?

I think the president was clearly articulating that his position - the Democrats position - is that we need comprehensive immigration reform. We have 12 million undocumented immigrants in this country that are part of the backbone of our economy. And that is not only a reality but a necessity. And that it would be harmful if - the Republican solution that I've seen in the last three years is that we should just pack them all up and ship them back to their own countries, and that in fact it should be a crime and we should arrest them all. I mean that was the legislation that Jim Sensenbrenner advanced a couple of years ago. (H/T: Doug Ross )

Ed Morrissey:

This is what happens when political correctness distorts clear and descriptive language. Immigration reform activists have insisted on removing the phrase illegal immigration from the political lexicon, despite the fact that the term is both accurate and objective. Once that happens, it's easy for the weak-minded to forget that we have a fairly generous legal immigration system that illegal immigrants bypassed and violated on their entry into this country. And by "the weak-minded," I mean Debbie Wasserman-Schultz...

Republicans want to make a crime ... a crime crime! Maybe Rep. Wasserman-Schultz should familiarize herself with the law before attempting to change it, and certainly before she attempts to demagogue Republicans on the issue of crime and punishment as well as immigration.

Wasserman-Schultz is obviously not the brightest bulb in the room. If she keeps this up, the GOP will be able to make a feature length film of her gaffes for the 2012 election.

Betsy M. Galliher adds:

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is quite publicly laying out the DNC's 2012 strategy for all to see, should the GOP care to notice.  For a man who can't possibly run on a record of socialist hopelessness and radical change, Democrats are left to trot out the old standby - only standby -- ‘fairness.'  Because, after all, the equal opportunity and liberty born of Capitalism will simply never do.

In the last week alone, Wasserman-Shultz has accused the GOP of being anti-American, anti-woman, and anti-immigrant, which means DWS either needs a new mirror, or she inspires to emulate her progressive Messiah, even if it means worshipping a man complicit in the destruction of her faith's homeland.

Trolling the DNC's website for more information (GOP attacks), one will find the less-is-more Democrat logo, almost bemusing in its utter lack of any Americana'esque.  A visit to the DNC's ‘shop,' and you'll find this motivational poster.  And if you don't believe Democrats Rule via ‘fairness' -- manufactured ‘equality' of their twisted affirmative action -- this clearly isn't yet framed and hanging on your wall.  Only The Onion does ‘motivational' parody better.

Just the tip of the progressive laundry list of fairness, entitlement, and overreaching government of which Democrats love to boast; and conservatives are called to fix or finance.

I can think of an Apollo astronaut, or two, who might have something to say about the Democrats owning the first moon landing, bit to emntion Richard Nixon, who was president when it happened! (If Obama gets credit for killing Osama, a mission begun by George W. Bush, then Nixon gets credit for the Moon landing, a mission begun by President Kennedy.)

Update -- reader Bobn White eamails:

"Where is the Democratic accomplisment of OBAMACARE on the DNC's new poster bragging about what they call their accomplishments?"

Good question.
