Mayor Bloomberg, Shut Down OWS

It's time to shut down the anti-capitalist anarchist garrison known as "Occupy Wall Street."  Mayor Bloomberg has abdicated his responsibility to protect the health and safety of the citizens of New York City by allowing overnight encampments in Zuccotti Park.  Mayor Bloomberg needs to take immediate action to impose a curfew on the OWS protesters and enforce public safety laws.

If former mayor Rudy Giuliani were still mayor of New York City, he would have told the protesters that they are not allowed to sleep on the streets.  Giuliani discussed how he would have dealt with the OWS movement on the Sean Hannity talk show:

"Well I had a rule and I enforced it as best I could and pretty effectively. The rule was: You're not allowed to sleep on the streets.  Sorry, not allowed to sleep on the streets.  Streets are not for sleeping.  Sleeping on the streets is a dysfunctional act.  It harms the person, it harms society, it leads to unsanitary conditions that affect public health.  The first one who decided to sleep there should have been removed and then the second one, and the third one, and the fourth one and the fifth one.  They can protest during the daytime if they want to, but if you want to stay over in New York City overnight, you got to rent a room, and if you're homeless we got plenty of shelters for you."

According to Democratic pollster Douglas Schoen 31% of those interviewed would resort to violence to achieve their goals and 98% support civil disobedience. Their goals comprise a radical left-wing agenda in opposition to free-market capitalism to impose a drastic redistribution of the wealth and strong regulation of the private sector and willingness to use violence and civil disobedience to achieve their ends. Should this movement grow it's certain to escalate into a breakdown of law and order on a scale similar to the riots and bloody demonstrations of the late 1960's.  We need to call Bloomberg and tell him to take action now before OWS spirals out of control replete with an epidemic of malicious anti-Semitism.

Isn't it uncanny that OWS which was intended to disrupt Wall Street and the big banks of corporate America is hurting only the local small businesses and targeting Jews with an undercurrent of anti-Semitic vitriol and rage against "Judeo-capitalist bankers."  Mayor Bloomberg is culpable for not taking action early on as Giuliani would have done to nip this OWS pestilence in the bud as the "quality of life" crimes that they are. Bloomberg's threats to enforce city public-health laws is too little too late.  The damage is already done and the triumph of anarchy has won the day since the park owners and city officials backed down on cleaning up Zuccotti Park.  The rule of law will succumb to unrestrained violence and the raging scapegoating of Jews if this fascist movement isn't shut down now.
