CBS News Political Director: Obama Should 'Pulverize' and 'Delegitimize' GOP

The radical leftists who have staffed up the legacy media are losing all pretenses of being neutral reporters, and coming out of the closet as rabid partisans lately. It is one thing to openly swoon over Barack Obama at off-the-record events, which keeps the general public out of the loop, while privately reaffirming media solidarity as partisans. But it is quite something else to put one's name on a publication which argues for delegitimizing opposition to the Anointed One.

That is exactly what CBS News political director John Dickerson has done in Slate:

Obama's only remaining option is to pulverize. Whether he succeeds in passing legislation or not, given his ambitions, his goal should be to delegitimize his opponents. Through a series of clarifying fights over controversial issues, he can force Republicans to either side with their coalition's most extreme elements or cause a rift in the party that will leave it, at least temporarily, in disarray.

Oddly enough, Slate does not identify Dickerson as political director of CBS News. But that is indeed his powerful position in shaping the news. Incidentally, Dickerson is a hereditary member of the media elite, as the son of Nancy Dickerson, who became the first CBS News female correspondent in 1960. A graduate of Sidwell Friends School, where the children of the DC elite are educated under the watchful protection of armed guards, Dickerson's elitist credentials are impeccable, though for some reason his background didn't propel him to attend any Ivy League colleges, making do with the still elite University of Virginia.
