If ISIS commits a heinous attack on the United States, as they promise, will Barack Obama be forced to initiate his own military insertion, boots and all, into the mid east in response to that attack?  Won’t that be history repeating itself a little too soon, and with a little too much irony?  Let’s hope not.

Obama could find himself in nearly an identical position in which GWB found himself just 12 years ago. Obama's past comfort of issuing criticism for a remote position will be missing. He even might be in danger of creating "new" terrorists, and he the Nobel Peace Prize winner. 

Now add in the complication that there are many US passport carrying fighters with ISIS.  What now of Miranda rights and trials in New York City, Mr. Holder?

Will it finally dawn on this country that those citizens who pick up arms against our forces move to a different category, one of "enemy" and no longer one of "Constitutional protection"?

Maybe there will be indications that some terrorists in confinement have knowledge of pending attacks on the US.  How should the questioning go, Mr. Holder and President Obama?  What if you have family in the area of the suggested attack, how "intense" does the interrogation get?  How hard do you press those “folks”?

The flurry of action in the final two years of this woeful second term will be jammed packed with the bold and naked attempts at jamming through the real agenda of Obama and Holder.  It will also be full of international activities, principally by Russia, China and their surrogates, and against the United States and its allies, emboldened by the perception of weak leadership in the US.

Obama’s base will be dismayed.  The realities of the world will meet the promises of a smooth talking teleprompter reading community organizer.  George Bush bit his lip and remained quiet and reticent as the flowery verbiage and promises of resets and intense interrogation crimes flowed from candidate Obama.  It was if he knew this moment would arise.  We are on the cusp.

Talk softly and carry a big stick seems to be Obama's motto. The big stick however looks like a Big Bertha or some other golf club.  The discomfort of responsibility is difficult to shed.  Fore Left!
