Executions in Iran continue despite non-nuclear Iran agreement

While Iran and the U.S. and its so-called allies were negotiating on the non-nuclear Iran agreement, the Iranian leaders encouraged its eager citizens to conduct rallies shouting "Death to America!" and "Death to Israel!" while they also enthusiastically burned those respective countries' flags.  It now seems that the Iranians were also doing some real hands-on actual work of death to Iranians.  According to NPR, quoting Amnesty International, in Iran, "at least 743 people may have been put to death in 2014 and nearly 700 more since the beginning of the year."

"Iran's staggering execution toll for the first half of this year paints a sinister picture of the machinery of the state carrying out premeditated, judicially-sanctioned killings on a mass scale," Said Boumedouha, deputy director of Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa Program, was quoted in the report as saying.

"If Iran's authorities maintain this horrifying execution rate we are likely to see more than 1,000 state-sanctioned deaths by the year's end," Boumedouha said.

Amnesty International says that while it rejects the death penalty unconditionally, "death sentences in Iran are particularly disturbing because they are invariably imposed by courts that are completely lacking in independence and impartiality. They are imposed either for vaguely worded or overly broad offences, or acts that should not be criminalized at all, let alone attract the death penalty."

Meanwhile, several Americans are still languishing in horrendous Iranian prisons.

But all this hasn't deterred the European negotiators, who, worthless agreement in hand and sanctions against the deadly Iranian regime lifted, have swarmed into Iran, eager for a slice of the 150 billion dollars Iran will have newly available to spend.

Of course, if the U.S. and/or Israel had even given a deadly terrorist a long prison term, these same European allies would have condemned the two countries.  And if it hasn't happened yet, just wait for it, because it will.  But that won't stop the Europeans from asking for American help when their pact with the Iranians turns deadly.  Just wait for it, because it will.
