Hillary email scandal: Feinstein moves the goal posts, raises many questions

Dianne Feinstein officially weighed in on the Hillary email scandal with parsed and guarded words, some of which shift the focus and obviously were designed for Democrat primary impact.

From her website, Dianne Feinstein, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence vice chairperson, issued these comments.  Included are some questions for Senator Feinstein.

DF: First, the 22 emails the State Department has labeled classified are part of seven separate back-and-forth email chains, and none of those email chains originated with Secretary Clinton.

Question: Secretary Clinton has declared she never sent or received classified information on her personal server.  Is that a true statement?  You speak only to these 22 emails, and you speak only to emails Secretary Clinton received.  Did you notice?

DF: It has never made sense to me that Secretary Clinton can be held responsible for email exchanges that originated with someone else.

Question: What other mechanism was available for the exchange of classified and top-secret emails with the Secretary of State if not via her personal server?

DF: And second, none of the emails sent to Secretary Clinton have the mandatory markings that are required when classified information is transmitted.

Question: Do you concede that information that met the “classified” or “top secret” criteria was sent and received via Secretary Clinton’s server?  Did Secretary Clinton have the intellect to acknowledge what were intensely sensitive materials even though the classification was missing?

And the questions still exist for Hillary.

Hillary, did you ever remove the status of “classified” from a previously so designated communication, or ever instruct someone to do so?

Hillary, if not your personal server, how did you receive and send classified information?  Certainly you must have dealt with such as secretary of state for four years.

And a final question for Dianne Feinstein: When communicating with Secretary Clinton, did you ever exchange classified information, and if so, how?  Careful how you answer – you may implicate yourself.

It would be interesting to discover what Senator Richard Burr, chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, has to say.  But the biggest question of all seems to be a recurring one, from Benghazi, Fast and Furious, Lerner’s IRS, and now Hillary’s emails:

What is the truth?
