What #BlackLivesMatter and MoveOn are not demonstrating about in Chicago
It appears that for leftists, black lives don’t really matter. Supposedly concerned about racism, Soros-funded groups in Chicago that ginned up protesters to shut down a Trump rally Friday are utterly silent about black lives that apparently don’t matter. It is only Sunday morning, and the Windy City weekend is already a bloodbath for young men of the African-American demo. The Chicago Tribune reports:
Four men were killed and at least 12 other people have been wounded since late Friday morning in shootings across the city.
In the first attack, a man was shot and killed Friday morning as he sat in his truck in West Englewood after dropping off his son at day care, according to police and a friend. (snip)
The next fatal shooting happened about 5:45 p.m. in the 800 block of North Latrobe Avenue in the city's South Austin neighborhood, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman.
In that shooting, a 20-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds while inside a vehicle. He was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Sweeney said.
Police found over 30 shell casings at the scene. The shooting is believed to be gang-related, they said.
In another fatal shooting, a 24-year-old man died after getting shot in the head in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side about 8:10 p.m., said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.
The man, identified as William Smith of the 900 block of North Springfield Avenue, was standing outside when an unknown attacker fired shots at him in the 3800 block of West Flournoy Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office and Alfaro.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, and he was later pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m., according to the examiner's office and Alfaro.
In the latest fatal attack, a 22-year-old man was shot to death around 3:29 a.m. Saturday in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side, Alfaro said.
The man was walking in the 3200 block of West Addison Street when a male attacker inside a dark blue SUV drove by and fired shots, striking the man in the back. He was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Alfaro said.
