Most embarrassing political convention celebrity appearance ever?

The merger of politics and show business is virtually complete, what with the Republican Party nominating a reality TV producer/celebrity and the Democrats displaying their A-list celebrity backers at their convention.  That group includes Senator Al Franken, a celebrity who first gained prominence as a comedian, who turned politician years before Donald Trump.

Last night Franken was joined onstage by comedian Sarah Silverman, and the two of them demonstrated a remarkable inability to ad lib, as a delay in the next Vaudeville act forced them to wing it.  Of course, Franken, when he was serving as a highly paid talk show host on a radio network that rapidly failed, mostly read from scripts, apparently unable to wing it the way every successful talk show host does.

Their embarrassing, disastrous performance led to a lot of boos and awkwardness.

I must be a bad person for enjoying this video, and its boos, so much.
