Hillary admits to extreme exhaustion following Democratic Convention

With serious concern being raised about her health and consequent fitness for office, Hillary attempted to reassure voters and stumbled, ending up with her foot in her mouth.  In the first edition of a campaign podcast, Hillary spoke about her health and (presumably) jokingly stated about the aftermath of the DNC: “Oh my gosh, I don’t know that I can get up, let alone what I will do if I am vertical.”

The problem is that people often use humor to psychologically soften the blow of the truth, or to speak the truth while maintaining deniability.

For a woman with a traumatic brain injury and a history of what look like petit mal seizures and difficulty functioning normally to admit to difficulty standing up is an awkward joke at best.

Could it possibly be that deep inside Lyin' Hillary, the "congenital liar," as William Safire labeled her, is a small voice that insists on telling the truth and sabotaging her campaign?

There are a number of follow-up questions for Hillary about how long her inability to function normally lasted.  But that is Forbidden Territory and will remain unexplored.
