Donald Trump has identified the major problems we face as illegal immigration; terrorism, which is tied to illegal immigration; and the economy, which has had no real growth under Barack Obama.

Trump has proposed to build a wall on the southern border, suspend immigration from certain Muslim countries, review expired visas to deport those who have violated the visas, and attack and destroy ISIS.

For the economy he proposes a cut in the tax rates, rescinding many of the Obama regulations, permitting the Keystone Pipeline, and reviewing all trade agreements so we have fair trade with foreign countries.

These are eminently reasonable proposals.  FDR banned immigration from Germany, Japan, and Italy during WWII.  JFK proposed and cut tax rates.  Reagan cut tax rates, which resulted in an increase in tax revenues.

These proposals should be debated by Hillary and Trump in a reasonable, responsible manner.  But the only response from the Hillary Democrats is to attack and destroy Trump.  Obama, who must have nothing to do, has joined Hillary in the attack to declare Trump unfit.  This from the Obama and Hillary who doubled our deficit; withdrew from Iraq, which allowed ISIS to grow; ignored the repeated security requests in Benghazi and then lied about the cause; allowed a private email system, which endangers our national security; and routinely dismissed and downplayed terrorist attacks in our country as workplace violence but used the attacks to weaken our Second Amendment rights.

Obama and Hillary believe that our biggest threat is Trump, and then climate change.  While Trump has identified the problems we face, our biggest problem is our politics, which refuses to deal with the problems of the economy, immigration, and terrorism.  This is the fault of the Democratic Party, which believes only in seeking and keeping political power.  The Democrats, led by Hillary and Obama, attack building the wall and suspending immigration from certain Muslim countries as "racist" without offering any serious discussion why and any serious alternatives.  They attack the proposals simply to hopefully attract Hispanic voters and Muslim voters.

Even on a serious topic of Hillary illegally using a private email server to transmit national security messages, the Democrats have rallied around Hillary.  Every Democrat marches in lockstep behind Hillary on this and, of course, on abortion.

As for the economy their only answer is the same old tax the rich.  But Hillary in a moment of truth said she would tax the middle class.  Somehow the truth slipped out.

This Democratic strategy of simply attacking Trump and refusing to deal responsibly with the issues will cause more damage than the problems identified by Trump because the Democrats' strategy and tactics is only to win elections, at whatever cost, without dealing with the problems, and worse, to prevent the Republicans from dealing with the problems.  The Democrats, led by Obama and Hillary, have badly polarized our country simply to retain political power.
