The leftist fever swamps are accusing Trump of killing African-Americans

In January, impeachment-mad Democrats weren’t paying much attention to events in Wuhan, China. The Chinese government said everything was under control, and the World Health Organization told the world “it is not yet a global health emergency.” When Trump reacted to events in China, he was called a xenophobe.

Since then, no matter what Trump has done, Democrats claim he’s in the wrong. The accusations have run the gamut from xenophobia, to stupidity, to trying to profit from the disease. Now, though, the hardcore Trump haters have a new insult: He’s committing genocide against African-Americans.

The first hint that genocide was in the air came with the deluded claim from the Palmer Report that Trump was intentionally killing blue state voters. That line of thinking garnered 19,200 likes, even though the governors of two of the states hardest hit, Gavin Newsom of California and Andrew Cuomo of New York, expressed gratitude for Trump’s help.

The standby for leftists, though, is always that Trump is a racist. The genesis for this round of racism claims is the sad statistical truth that African-Americans are more likely to succumb to COVID-19 than other races. One of the first attacks, of course, came from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who claimed that black coronavirus deaths should be a springboard for reparations:

Soon, the fever swamp reworked that notion – that the system hates blacks – into the completely unfounded lie that Trump hates blacks and wants them to die:

Waldman is a crackpot, but she’s hardly alone. Just check out her Twitter page, which boasts over 21,000 followers. Both her own tweets and her retweets sound the same note: Trump is an insane, racist, megalomaniac who is determined to take over America and kill everyone except his brainwashed followers. It’s really something. (Waldman, incidentally, is one of those hard-left Jews who desires Israel’s destruction.)

With this madness growing, the Trump administration is trying to pushback. The Surgeon General, who is black, has explained that blacks are disproportionately likely to have the co-morbidities that are most vulnerable to COVID-19: Diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease, as well as less access to healthcare.

At Tuesday's coronavirus press briefing, Trump spoke said that his government is aware that African-Americans are unusually vulnerable and is working hard to address it. Dr. Fauci, true to his Democrat roots, blamed the problem on economic inequality:

There’s no doubt that poverty, regardless of race, is associated with these dangerous comorbidities. However, Fauci is being disingenuous when he implies that it’s a lack of access to healthcare that is the systemic cause of African-American health problems. African-Americans also make lifestyle choices that are more likely to lead to obesity, a condition that is a precondition for Type II diabetes and a contributing factor to high blood pressure, and heart disease. No matter what Fauci implies, the federal government has no power to force people to make different diet and exercise choices.

Of course, the truth is that no matter what Trump says, there will always be Ayelet Waldmans who are certain the President is out to kill.

2020 is going to go down as America’s longest election year.

(Here’s a random thought: Chloroquine, which seems to defeat the virus, is an anti-malarial drug. Some African-Americans have a greater resistance to malaria, with extreme resistance showing up in the deadly disease of Sickle Cell Anemia. Could the African-Americans’ genetic history with malaria affect both how they respond to COVID-19 and to chloroquine?)
