Three ways Trump is not letting a crisis go to waste

While Democrats have revealed to us "who they are" in this coronavirus crisis, its governors absurd and counterproductive 'lockdown' rules and seeding the nursing homes with COVID-19, and its legislators holding stimulus checks hostage to their greenie pet projects, it's worth noting that President Trump hasn't been idle either. He's also showing us 'who he is.'

In his case, he's continuing to be president, on the exact matters voters elected him on.

Item one - he's deregulating. In a bid to restore the once-lustrous U.S. economy, he put out this executive order, according to Forbes:

Calling the "innovation, initiative, and drive of the American people" the "greatest engine of economic prosperity the world has ever known," Trump instructs agencies to:

"address this economic emergency by rescinding, modifying, waiving, or providing exemptions from regulations and other requirements that may inhibit economic recovery. ... They should also give businesses, especially small businesses, the confidence they need to re-open by providing guidance on what the law requires; by recognizing the efforts of businesses to comply with often-complex regulations in complicated and swiftly changing circumstances; and by committing to fairness in administrative enforcement and adjudication."

Sweeping out the scads of useless regulations that fetter business and benefit only government bureaucrats has been on Trump's 'to do' list since day one. News like this doesn't draw much press from the drive-by media, but the stock market sure noticed, soaring nearly 400 points on the Dow, in what surely had to have been a major factor. The Nasdaq index and S&P 500 rose even more.

It's like the old Trump economy is champing at the bit to get back to normal. Don't expect the media to notice this, they're still trying to play 'Karen' and file complaints with Twitter's management about Trump's tweets, or concern-troll President Trump's use of hydroxychloroquine. They just can't stop following the laser pointer.

Here's another, from Twitter:

That's right, ramping up domestic production, precisely the thing that would be happening in a robust economy. Ought to put many Texans and truckers back to work, too. Good economy = Trump economy. Trump is moving at breakneck speed to get it back. Imagine a Democrat doing such a thing!

Here's item three:

President Trump’s administration is readying a public health regulation to more permanently stem the flow of illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border, Breitbart News has learned.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials have credited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Title 42 with helping to plummet southern border crossings by 84 percent in April and giving Border Patrol agents the authority to return border crossers to their native countries within a matter of hours.

Catch-and-release is finally over.

He's like a bulldozer. Rather than use the crisis to expand government, as Democrats do in a crisis, he's moving with fierce force to end the crisis itself, so no Democrat can take advantage of it. That's Trump's idea of not letting a crisis go to waste. Permanantly checkmating Democrats. so they can never damage us again, is Trump's real work, even as the press chases butterflies and ignores substance, the House looks for creative new ways to impeach Trump, and the nonstop swampery turns voters out. All along, Trump has been doing his job so as teach and every one of these creatures has been focused on something else. In Trumpworld, it's called 'winning.'
